I’ve worked in the manufacturing and building industries for many years, and have acquired some good Computer Aided Design skills along the way. AutoCAD stands as the application of choice for the majority of my design requirements. Other packages, though, such as Rhino3D, CorelDraw, and 3D Studio are routinely brought to bear. Likewise, MS Office applications play a critical role in the overall process.
Despite this array of apps, projects routinely present problems to which solutions remain elusive. Here, Visual Studio, with the capabilities for focused customization, can produce an excellent return on investment.
Perhaps others in the building and manufacturing have run into similar roadblocks. I’d be honored to discover that a routine of mine removed an impediment.
